Witte is a small german “boutique” law firm, based in munich with 32 years of practical experience. We have profound in-depth knowledge and a wide range of experience in many areas of IT law and the laws of the new media. A further area of our concentration is the provision of legal counsel in all questions of employment law.
Our Clients
For many years, we serve particularly “small caps” and medium sized German and international - mostly german speaking - companies in the information technology markets. Our clients rely on us for our creativity and skill in solving difficult legal problems and providing counsel on their critical business and legal issues in virtually all areas of IT-law. We have particular expertise handling technical and commercial issues, including IT-contracts, outsourcing, electronic commerce, Internet and media law, data protection and computer law. We are familiar with the operation of all major institutions, courts and government offices.
Our Goal
The groundwork for our cooperation with you based on mutual trust are personal contact, social competence, a high availability and short response periods. You thus receive personal consultation from the attorney in whom you have placed your trust.
What we cannot offer
Since we are small and specialized, we do not offer a full service in all legal areas (for example tax law). Generally, we are availabe to european working times. If we are not able to solve a certain problem we will help you to find a high qualified colleague who offers the same service.
Fees
We believe that you have the right to know about the attorneys fees in advance. Many out of court services are calculated on an hourly fee, which is actually fixed by 200 EURO plus 19% v.a.t. At any time, you will get an understandable, minutely documented proof of time. In some cases, especially when a court action is part of the service, the german law regulating lawyers fees (RVG) is applicable and we will discuss all possible fees and costs with you in advance.

RA Andreas Witte is a member of several IT-law related associations. The firm´s expertise is documented in numerous publications and is demonstrated by ongoing speaking engagements. Our training covers not only legal issues but also basic technical subjects. Every employee must - at minimum - be able to repair a PC and to install a simple peer-to-peer network. For many years, the firm is positively mentionned in different publications as “THE LEGAL 500”, “THE EUROPEAN LEGAL 500”, and the german “JUVE-Handbook” (ISBN 3-9806878-8-8).
